Fintos acts as a service point for Hentec’s ITH tools in Finland. Working together, the companies provide a service whose agility, proactivity, and speed are beneficial to industrial companies. Expertise and a refined process form the basis for smooth service.
Hentec Group Oy is a Finnish specialist company founded in 2004 that develops and supplies components and subassemblies for the machine building industry. Hentec represents several world-leading brands in Finland, such as ITH, a German company specializing in bolt tightening technology.
Fintos operates as Hentec’s ITH service point in Finland. The collaboration began in 2022 when Hentec decided to outsource its maintenance services.
– We knew that Fintos had been servicing ITH equipment for Wärtsilä for quite some time. Based on that, it was a good idea to start building a deeper collaboration. Fintos is also a good fit as our service partner because it is a flexible and agile small organization, says Nina Norrman, Sales Engineer at Hentec.
The cooperation is going really well, and the service is being developed to meet customer needs.

Agility and quality as success factors in maintenance services
For industries that use ITH tools, the key indicators for maintenance services are flexibility, speed, and quality. Over the years, Hentec and Fintos have developed their operating methods to ensure extremely smooth service and an excellent ability to anticipate the needs of industry.
– It is a great advantage for domestic customers that the maintenance service operates in Finland. We are close by, and customers can also communicate with our customer service in their native language. Communication also flows in both directions between the customer, Hentec, and Fintos, which makes it easy and quick for the customer to get things done, says Norrman.

ITH maintenance customers also benefit from the fact that Hentec and Fintos are both specialists in their field and have been providing ITH maintenance for a long time. As an ITH importer, Hentec knows its customers and its product range. In addition, over the years, Hentec has accumulated comprehensive documentation on its customers’ equipment, which speeds up the maintenance process and enables foresight. Fintos, on the other hand, is a specialist in hydraulics, high-pressure hydraulics, and pneumatics, with maintenance services being a key part of its product range.
ITH tools are high-pressure tools, whose enormous pressure levels make safety extremely important.
– By having their equipment serviced at an official ITH service center in Finland, customers can be sure that approved ITH parts are used in the service, that the service is of ITH standard, and that it is carried out by ITH-trained personnel, says Norrman.

A smooth process ensures customer satisfaction
ITH maintenance is above all a service where a refined process and open communication guarantee success.
In the maintenance of ITH equipment, Hentec acts as the seller and customer interface, while Fintos is responsible for carrying out the maintenance work on behalf of Hentec. At Hentec, customer service and communications are handled by sales coordinator Susanna Isaksson. At Fintos, sales and logistics assistant Ida Prinkkilä, maintenance manager Johan Österholm, and maintenance technician Roope Ranta are involved in maintenance operations.
In practice, customers, most of whom are maintenance companies in the wind power business, contact Hentec, which in turn orders maintenance work from Fintos and approved spare parts from ITH in Germany, delivered to Fintos.
– A broken tool can be repaired at Fintos in a couple of days, and because the maintenance is carried out in Finland, the tool can also be delivered to the customer in a couple of days, says Isaksson.
Communication between Hentec and Fintos is open and efficient.
– We hold weekly meetings every week or two, where we go through current issues with the Fintos team. Communication is close in other ways too, says Isaksson.
The service extends to deliveries: customers can deliver their tools for maintenance directly to Fintos themselves, but Hentec can also arrange transport to and from Fintos.

Ville Halmesmäki, technical manager at Fintos Oy, presented Fintos, the official Hentec Service Point in Finland, at the Hentec Bolting Day seminar held on November 13, 2024.
Training and continuous professional development
The manufacturer ITH regularly organizes training courses to ensure sufficient expertise and the functionality of maintenance services now and in the future. Fintosilta’s maintenance manager Johan Österholm and technical manager Ville Halmesmäki have attended training at ITH in Germany, and new training courses are offered as needed.
Every year, Hentec organizes a technical seminar on topics relevant to its clients, bringing experts together to learn and network. In 2024, a Bolting Day seminar was held on the theme of ITH and fastening technology. In 2023, Slewing Bearing Days were held.
– We had the opportunity to delve into the theory of fastening technology at Hentec’s Bolting Day seminar in Espoo. It is always interesting and useful to hear the latest information and exchange ideas with other experts. We also had the opportunity to present Fintos, which is the official Hentec Service Point in Finland, and talk about our solid expertise in ITH products, says Ville Halmesmäki from Fintos.
Shared values and vision
Hentec’s vision is to be the primary partner for the machine building industry in the Nordic countries and a supplier of customized assemblies known for its unique expertise. The company’s goal is to build long-term partnerships that promote sustainable and innovative development in various industries, creating value now and in the future.
Like Hentec, Fintoski aims to be the number one partner in its own customer segments in Finland. Like Hentec, Fintoski also has unique expertise in its own field of hydraulics, high-pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and liquid cooling.
The companies also have a consistent way of operating based on strong values: responsibility and sustainable development are emphasized in their operating methods and solutions. At the heart of the cooperation are transparency and trust, as well as open communication related to them. Innovation is also a strong unifying factor: the companies develop unique, value-adding solutions for their customers that meet their needs and the most stringent quality and efficiency requirements.
