Fintos and Pneumacon grow together through new applications and industries

The long-standing partnership between Fintos and Pneumacon is based on strong trust, high quality, and continuous development. Since Fintos’ early days, Pneumacon has been an important supplier, particularly of Cejn quick couplings.

Fintos and Pneumacon have been working together since Fintos was first started, when the founders of the companies, Harri Lindroos from Pneumacon and Markku Halkola from Fintos, knew each other. Today, the partnership is being carried forward by the next generation in both companies: Juha Lindroos at Pneumacon and Tuuli Prinkkilä and Ville Halmesmäki at Fintos.

Top quality and fast delivery

Founded in 1994, Pneumacon is an import company specializing in high-quality pneumatic and hydraulic products and screwdriving technology. Its largest product groups are Cejn quick couplings and Deprag screwdriving automation. Fintos’s product range specifically includes Cejn quick couplings, for which Pneumacon is a leading distributor in Finland.

Pneumacon is the official importer of all its brands in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Of the company’s 17 employees, 14 work in Finland and 3 in the Baltic countries.

From the outset, Pneumacon’s strategy has been to focus only on the best suppliers in the industry.

– We are very selective about our partners and only accept top quality in our selection. We have very few complaints in relation to our volumes, and we want this situation to continue in the future,” says Juha Lindroos, CEO of Pneumacon.

In addition to quality, a key competitive advantage is delivery speed. Pneumacon is often able to deliver its products to customers on the same day or the next day at the latest, which gives it a head start in international competition.

Fintos 2.0 – strategic growth and specialisation

A lot has happened at Fintos during its collaboration with Pneumacon, but quick couplings have always been at the heart of its product range. In the early stages, Fintos supplied high-pressure hydraulics for Wärtsilä engines. Since then, Fintos has made a strong entry into new industries and product areas, such as compressed air and liquid cooling.

– Fintos has taken a big leap forward. Fintos 2.0 has been a welcome boost both for the company’s growth and for its suppliers, says Lindroos.

Specialisation and in-depth expertise are Fintos’ strengths. For example, the company has a command of compressed air that is virtually unmatched in the market. This has made the partnership important to Pneumacon, which values Fintos’ expertise and unique ability to come up with solutions for end customers’ needs.

The market is changing rapidly, which is why both Fintos and Pneumacon are keeping their eyes and ears open for new opportunities. For example, liquid cooling for electronics is currently a growing trend, with quick connector technology playing an increasingly important role.

The collaboration between Fintos and Pneumacon is not a traditional customer-supplier relationship, but a genuine strategic partnership in which the parties develop their operations together.

– We are constantly thinking together about where we can find sustainable growth and how we can develop our solutions to serve both current and future customers. Fintos has the right approach – they don’t get stuck in the past or settle for the status quo, but look far into the future, says Lindroos.

– Fintos and Pneumacon have a shared value base, which makes it easy to build the future together,” says Tuuli Prinkkilä, CEO of Fintos.

Local presence and expert service

Together, Fintos and Pneumacon offer customers the best combination of technical expertise, high-quality products, and local knowledge.

– Fintos knows its customers and their needs, and knows how to suggest just the right solutions. We, on the other hand, know our products inside out and can offer customers the best possible option, says Lindroos.

In addition, Pneumacon and Fintos invest in training. For example, training courses on compressed air and high-pressure safety have been organized for both Fintos’ staff and end customers. This increases the safety and expertise of all parties involved.

Openness and flexibility are emphasized in everyday life

Practical cooperation between Fintos and Pneumacon is seamless and open. Daily communication works well, and if necessary, anyone can be contacted, whether it’s about deliveries, new opportunities, or solving challenges.

Fintos utilizes Pneumacon’s extensive warehouse, which guarantees fast deliveries to customers. Basic products are delivered immediately, and custom-made products are flexibly sourced from global suppliers.

– The agreed delivery times are accurate and the quality is high. These strengths make cooperation easy and smooth for customers, says Prinkkilä.

Sustainable growth opens up new opportunities

The partnership between Fintos and Pneumacon is based on trust, openness, and a desire to create new solutions together.

– If we continue on this path, new opportunities will constantly open up. For example, there is a lot happening in the field of liquid cooling, and there is enormous potential there. Hydraulics and compressed air also offer further growth opportunities, Lindroos sums up.

In the future, responsibility will be a key competitive advantage, and Cejn, in particular, is investing in it as part of its comprehensive sustainable value base. For example, the company is committed to eliminating all lead from its products by 2025–2026. This supports Fintos and Pneumacon’s shared goal of providing safe and sustainable solutions for industry.

The partnership between Fintos and Pneumacon brings added value to both customers and the entire supply chain. Strong, ongoing cooperation aims for even greater success.
