The history of the Schwer family business dates back to 1938, when the original company was founded in Germany. Over the generations, the company name has changed several times, until the current Schwer Fittings GmbH was established in 1995. The Finnish subsidiary Schwer Fittings Oy was founded in Muurame in 2001.
Schwer Fittings specializes in stainless steel components. Its extensive product range includes piping components for hydraulics, pneumatics, and liquid and gas systems, including fittings, pipes, hoses, valves, and threaded parts. The company also manufactures cutting ring parts and high-pressure fittings in accordance with the EN ISO 8434 standard.
Schwer Fittings and Fintos have been working together since Fintos was founded. The parties’ common goal is to offer industrial customers the best possible solutions, which are created by combining Fintos’ expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics with Schwer’s acid-resistant steel components.

Schwerin steel components directly from Fintos’ stock
Fintos has a good selection of Schwerin connectors available directly from stock, and in recent years, the sales inventory has been further developed. Fintos’s pickup point serves the entire Coastal Ostrobothnia region.
Acid-resistant pipe fittings, double wedge ring fittings, threaded adapters, and ball valves are available directly from the shelf. In addition, the entire Schwerin product range can be ordered flexibly and quickly, which significantly improves customers’ opportunities to obtain the components they need efficiently and reliably.
– We respond to demand by improving our stock selection according to the needs of our industrial customers. That’s why we are happy to hear what parts and components our customers need, says Prinkkilä.

Schwer Fittings’ selection consists of standard products. Customized products are currently manufactured in smaller quantities, but they will be taken into production when the volumes are sufficiently large and continuous. However, standard products have undeniable advantages: their use, among other things, streamlines design and improves the quality, durability, and maintainability of finished equipment and systems.

– When a customer submits an inquiry, Fintos’s hydraulics and pneumatics experts do not always have prior knowledge of the solution. Nevertheless, they accept the challenge and set out to solve it. Fintos’s slogan, ‘Invention without limits,’ is strongly reflected in these situations, says Suutari.
Fintos is also a suitable partner for Schwer Fittings because Fintos emphasizes ingenuity in its operations, in line with its values.
– It’s great that we have bold partners. Risk-taking is not at the core of German corporate culture, but with the right partners, we are happy to share responsibility and achieve something innovative, Suutari says.
